Platform Responsibility
What is Reluvved's role?
Reluvved is a platform that connects parents – we provide the technology and tools, but we don't participate in exchanges.
Think of us like a community bulletin board: we provide the board and pins, but we don't control what people post or how they interact.
What this means:
- We facilitate connections between families
- We provide safety features and best practices
- We moderate content for appropriateness
- We cannot control individual user behavior
- We are not a party to any exchange or transaction
What are users responsible for?
As a user, you are responsible for:
When giving items:
- Accurately describing items and their condition
- Ensuring items are safe and not recalled
- Meeting as agreed or communicating changes
- Treating recipients respectfully
When receiving items:
- Showing up on time (or canceling with notice)
- Inspecting items before accepting them
- Checking for safety recalls yourself
- Meeting in safe, public locations
- Treating givers respectfully
Everyone:
- Following community guidelines
- Protecting your own safety
- Making good decisions about who to meet
- Resolving disputes directly and respectfully
What happens if something goes wrong?
If there's a problem with an exchange:
The platform can help with:
- Reporting inappropriate behavior
- Documenting no-shows or issues (for reputation)
- Blocking problematic users
- Removing users who violate guidelines
The platform cannot:
- Force someone to complete an exchange
- Replace lost or damaged items
- Mediate disputes about item condition
- Provide refunds or compensation
- Take responsibility for in-person interactions
If there's a serious issue (theft, threats, harassment):
- Contact local law enforcement immediately
- Report it to us for documentation
Who is liable if an item is defective or causes injury?
Reluvved does not assume liability for:
- Item quality, safety, or condition
- Injuries caused by items received through the platform
- Disputes between users
- No-shows, cancellations, or scheduling issues
- Third-party actions or behavior
Important: By using Reluvved, you acknowledge that:
- You inspect items before accepting them
- You verify safety and recalls yourself
- You assume responsibility for items you give or receive
- Exchanges are between you and other users (not with Reluvved)
See our Terms of Service for complete legal details.
What about recalled items?
User responsibility:
- Givers should check CPSC.gov before posting items
- Recipients should independently verify items aren't recalled
Platform responsibility:
- We educate users about recall checking
We cannot:
- Automatically detect all recalled items
- Guarantee items are recall-free
- Accept liability for recalled items being exchanged
Always check recalls yourself before accepting children's items.
Are there any warranties or guarantees?
No. All items on Reluvved are:
- Provided "as-is" with no warranties
- Described by users (not verified by us)
- Your responsibility to inspect and verify
This is why we strongly recommend:
- Meeting in person to inspect items
- Asking questions before committing
- Declining items that don't meet your expectations
- Checking reviews/reputation of other users
What if someone is scamming or misusing the platform?
If you suspect fraud or abuse:
- Don't proceed with the exchange
- Report the user through their profile
- Block them to protect yourself
- Document everything (screenshots, messages)
- Contact us if it's a serious issue
We investigate all reports and remove users who violate our terms.
Common red flags:
- Pressure to meet in unsafe locations
- Requests for personal information before meeting
- Items that seem too good to be true
- Aggressive or inappropriate messages
How do you handle user disputes?
Our approach:
- We provide a reputation system to encourage good behavior
- We document complaints and violations
- We take action against repeat offenders
- We remove users who seriously violate guidelines
We do NOT:
- Mediate individual disputes
- Decide who was "right" or "wrong"
- Offer compensation or make exchanges "fair"
- Get involved in interpersonal conflicts
Best practice: Communicate clearly, be respectful, and if you can't resolve something, move on. There are many other users in the community.
Can you verify users or guarantee their identity?
No. While we require authentication (Google/Apple sign-in), we:
- Don't perform background checks
- Don't verify users' identities beyond their login
- Don't endorse any particular user
- Don't guarantee anyone's trustworthiness
The reputation system helps, but it's not foolproof. Always trust your instincts and prioritize safety.
What's your content moderation policy?
We moderate content to ensure it's:
- Appropriate for a family-oriented platform
- Relevant to children's items
- Not spam, scams, or inappropriate offers
- Not depicting unsafe or recalled items
What we remove:
- Adult content or inappropriate imagery
- Items not intended for children
- Spam, advertising, or commercial posts
- Dangerous or illegal items
- Harassment or abusive content
What we don't control:
- Individual opinions or preferences
- How users choose recipients
- Private communications between users
- Meeting arrangements or outcomes
See Community Guidelines for full details.
What data do you collect and why?
We collect only what's necessary to operate the platform:
Account data:
- Authentication info (Google/Apple ID)
- Location (for showing nearby items)
- Children's ages (optional, for recommendations)
Activity data:

Why we collect it:
- Provide core functionality
- Improve recommendations
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Analyze platform usage
- Comply with legal requirements
We never:
- Sell your personal data

Can I trust Reluvved with my data?
We take data protection seriously:
- Industry-standard encryption
- Compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws
- Regular security audits
- Minimal data collection (we only collect what's needed)

How do I delete my data?
You have the right to:
- Export your data: Request a copy of all your data

Where can I read the full legal documents?
All legal documents are available at:
- Terms of Service: min-max.solutions/terms-of-service
- Privacy Policy: min-max.solutions/privacy-policy
- EULA: min-max.solutions/eula

We recommend reading them, but here's the TL;DR:

- We protect your privacy but can't guarantee perfect security
- We moderate content but can't control all user behavior
- You agree to use the platform safely and appropriately
- You can delete your data anytime
